·  Provide back up when necessary to other Psychiatry Department staff.

·  Order laboratory studies as indicated by client's medication regime or physical condition.

·  Maintain written protocols as required by the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

·  Communicate effectively with clinicians within the agency as well as community referral sources, such as primary care providers, school officials and others involved in the care of our clients.

·  Coordinate schedule with coworkers and the Chief Medical Officer so that department coverage is maintained.



·  Licensure as RN with certification as ARNP. 

·  Proficiency with psychotropic medications is required. 

·  Must successfully complete the KBI, SRS Central Registry and all other background investigations.


·  Experience with children and adolescents in a psychiatric setting is preferred.

·  Must exhibit satisfactory verbal and written communication skills.
